This policy explains how Lapland Taxi processes personal data when you book a ride or use our website (EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679).

Purpose and legal basis
We process data to book, confirm, carry out and invoice rides and to communicate with customers. The legal basis is the contract with the customer and obligations under accounting law. Website analytics is based on consent.
Data processed
- Name, phone number, email address and preferred language
- Ride details: date, time, pickup and destination, passengers, luggage, flight or train number, return transfer
- Need for child seats and other special needs you tell us
- Price and payment details
- With consent: website usage data (Google Analytics)
Sources
Data is received from the customer via the booking form, by phone or by email.
Recipients
Data is processed by Lapland Taxi staff and the driver of the ride. Processors are our website and database provider (Base44) and, for analytics, Google. Data is not sold or shared for marketing.
Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Service providers may also process data outside the EU/EEA. Transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism under the GDPR.
Retention
Ride data is kept as long as needed to provide the service, and invoicing data for the period required by accounting law. Plain enquiries are deleted within one year. Google Analytics data is deleted automatically after 26 months.
Security
Only staff can access the data, using personal accounts and two-step verification. The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
